Legion of Jazz returns to The Royal Room and turns the clock back, taking a deep dive into music of two of the most prolific big bands in history. Come join us for an afternoon of some of the most intricate and exciting big band music out there!
Formed in February 2022, Legion of Jazz supports performance and music education in the Pacific Northwest region by hosting community and educational performances, clinics, and the commission/recording of new works by up-and-coming jazz artists.
Legion of Jazz has performed and recorded NEW works for big band as well as masterworks of the big band repertoire including music from Tom Kubis, Buddy Rich, Count Basie, and The Thad-Jones Mel Lewis Orchestra.
